Through the Freedom of Information Act, we obtained videos of a Decatur Police Department interaction on May 11th, 2023 around 6 or 6:30pm on the 500 block of North Hayworth Ave.
We also had a phone interview with a witness at the scene. We have not published that yet. We also obtained extensive documentation of the incident, which we have not released yet.
We have not reviewed any of the footage or documentation, due to simply being busy with other stories.
We intend to release the documentation and phone interview when we have time. We might not review the footage or provide further coverage ourselves, due to time constraints.
